It was Friday December 19, 2008. I had just got home from work and Emily and I were running around the house getting everything packed for Christmas vacation in Wichita Falls. Emily stops me and tells me that I should open this small box before we hit the road. It was a small long white box, the kind you might get a necklace or bracelet in. I untied the thick silver bow not knowing what to expect. I open the box and found a positive pregnancy test. I studied the key on the test first to verify that it in fact was telling me that Emily was pregnant at the same time I knew she would not be giving me a negative one. I was so very excited, as I looked up at Emily I think she already had tears in her eyes as I did just a few seconds later. I hugged Emily for a long time and the only thing I can remember saying was "Gindle Grams!" which became code for "We are having a baby!"
